o Omnipresent (Everywhere)– Psalm 139:7-12; Omnipotent (All Powerful) - Genesis 18:14; Omniscient (All knowing) - Psalm 139:
o Omniscient (All knowing) – Psalm 139:2-6; Isaiah 40:13-14
o Unchanging or Immutable – Psalm 102:25-27; Hebrews 1:10-12; 13:8
o Sovereign – 2 Samuel 7;22; Wise - Proverbs 3:19
o Righteous/Just – Deuteronomy 32:4; Faithful - Deuteronomy 7:9
o True – Psalm 31:5; Good - Psalm 25:8
o Merciful – Deuteronomy 4:31; Gracious - Exodus 34:6
o Love – John 3:16; Spirit - John 4:24
GOD DESIGNED THE PERFECT WORLD WITH A PERFECT RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM
o Genesis 1:1 – God created heavens and earth.
o Genesis 1:26 – Let us make man in our own image.
o John 6:40 – His will is everyone would believe
o John 10:10 – Thief came to destroy; he came to give life.
GOD DESIGNED THE LAW TO PROTECT AND SHOW US OUR SIN NATURE
o Is a reflection of the character of God. He cannot lie, cheat, steal, etc.
o This becomes the standard of righteousness. Look at what what Jesus said in Matthew 5:17-20
THE BIBLE TELLS US THAT SEPARATE FROM GOD, MAN IS FALLEN
o Genesis 3:1-6 – His mind, will, emotions and flesh have been corrupted.
o Genesis 6;5 – Continually evil; Jeremiah 17:9 - Deceitful and wicked
o We are incapable of keeping the law 100%. Sin = breaking the law.
o No law = no punishment.
o Punishment for breaking Gods law is eternal damnation.
o Wrath is upon us Romans 1:18; John 3:36; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15
GOD HAS GOOD NEWS FOR THE BAD NEWS ABOUT OUR SITUATION
o That the judgment of God upon the person who has broken Gods Law can be removed in the person of Jesus.
o This is done because Jesus, who is God the Son in flesh, was able to perfectly live the Law and offer a sacrifice to God the Father.
o Salvation only in His name Acts 4:12
o Jesus's sacrfice brings us to God 1 Peter 3:18
o God shows love for us Romans 5:8
o Buried and rose again 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
NOW THAT WE KNOW, WHAT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY?
o Is there any reason not to cross over?
o Admit your sin has separated you from God (Psalm 32:5; 38:18)
o Have you sinned against God and others?
§ You can be made righteous by believing in Jesus (John 5:24; Romans 3:23-24)
o Do you believe that Jesus, the Son of God, died in your place, was buried, and rose from the dead three days later?
§ If you believe, you will confess (Romans 10:9-10; Matthew 10:32)
o Do you confess that Jesus is Gods Son and He is your Lord and Savior?
§ Believes, repents and is baptized (Acts 2:38)
o Are you willing to follow him and be baptized?
§ You would be changed by Him (Romans 12:1-2; James 2:14)
o Will you commit to follow Jesus, learn His word, and join with other believers to grow to be more like Him?
§ Through prayer invite Jesus Christ to come in and control your life through the Holy Spirit.
